Ford Bold Moves
A business to consumer website was built to show transparency into Ford’s “Bold Moves” branding effort. The website showcased insider interviews accompanied by video with RSS syndication features and Ford related articles by industry insiders to make the point that Ford was ready to discuss negative newsworthy issues as well as the positive.
As Tech Lead on the project I built many of the core features as well as the architect the ASP.Net 2.0 framework the site sat on top of to allow for real-time article publishing and management.
As the site pulled in real-time articles concerning Ford and the automotive industry, allowed commenting on articles, and syndicated its newsfeeds, it is Ford’s first venture into connecting with its audience via an emerging channel that was yet to be named, but is now known as Social Media.
